Golden Bee Shrimp
The Golden Bee Shrimp is a dwarf shrimp that is relativily unknown. We believe it to be a selectivly breed offspring of all white Crystal Shrimp and of the Yellow or orange shrimp.
Golden Bee Shrimp Behavior
Golden Bee Shrimp are non-aggressive and are quite active. In an aquarium that has no predators, Golden Bee Shrimp will often be observed grazing on algae on aquarium plants, decorations, and on the substrate. When fed, the shrimp will often form large groups that are quite striking in appearance.
Golden Bee Shrimp Care
The Golden Bee Shrimp is a harder to keep shrimp in its care requirements. They should be kept in a well-established aquarium with no predators. The most important factor for water parameter is stability. And as long as none of the water parameters are in the extremes, and PH is kept in a range of 5.8 – 6.8 they should do fine. The ideal PH for Golden Bee Shrimp is 6.2, however this is not to say they cannot be kept in PH levels outside of the recommended range of 5.8 – 6.8 it is just in our experience they will not thrive unless kept in that range.

Buying Golden Bee Shrimp
As with all aquatic invertebrates, it is important to make sure copper does not get into the aquarium. Copper is toxic to all Dwarf Shrimp. Many medications contain elevated levels of copper, so it is recommended not to medicate an aquarium with Dwarf Shrimp in it.
