Extreme Blue Bolt Shrimp are one of the most iconic Taiwan Bee Caridina varieties, known for their vibrant, full-body blue coloration that ranges from sky blue to deep electric tones. These stunning shrimp are a favorite among aquascapers and shrimp collectors for their bold appearance and elegance. Originally bred in Taiwan, Blue Bolts belong to the Caridina family and display a beautiful range of patterns. High-grade individuals are fully saturated with deep blue and little to no white. Mid-grade specimens may have lighter blue or cloudy white around the head. Lower-grade variants often have a balanced mix of blue and white, resembling Steel Blue shrimp.
Extreme Blue Bolts typically mature into breeding adults within about a month, making them a rewarding species for those looking to start or expand a breeding colony.
